Processing on your device
Wildfolio processes the photos, route screenshots or GPX files you choose to compose trail photos. It stores the places, visit dates, private notes, wishlist and layouts you enter. GPX files and screenshots may contain location or other personal information. Image processing and text recognition run on your device; the app does not send this content to developer servers.
No account, tracking or advertising
This version has no accounts, advertising, third-party analytics SDKs or cross-app tracking. It does not request device location, health data, contacts, camera or microphone access. Destination stories, stamps and daily landscapes are bundled with the app. Language preferences and the local seed used to select the daily landscape remain on your device.
Photos and file permissions
Import uses the system photo or file picker and reads only items you select. Permission to add photos is requested when you save to Photos. If denied, you can still edit and use the system share sheet to save to Files. Manage permission in iOS Settings. The system may download selected iCloud items according to your settings; this is not an upload to the developer.
Sharing is your choice
An output image is sent to Photos or a recipient you choose only when you save or use the system share sheet. Private notes are not automatically added to exports, and original photo EXIF/GPS metadata is not copied. Visible photos, routes, titles and text may still reveal personal information. Review your image before sharing. Third-party services process received content under their own privacy policies.
Retention and deletion
Journal records and editable artwork are stored in the app sandbox until you delete the record or uninstall the app. You can remove wishlist entries at any time. Unarchived drafts stay in memory and may be lost when the app closes. Temporary share files are cleaned up after sharing; expired files left by an interruption are cleaned up during later sharing. System backups may retain app data according to your iCloud or computer backup settings.
Separate copies and recovery
Images already saved to Photos, Files or another service are separate copies. Deleting a journal entry does not delete those copies; manage them at their destination. This version has no developer-operated cloud sync, cross-device recovery or import of records from the previous mini program. Save important output images separately. System backups are provided and managed by Apple.
